New Path Community Housing, Idaho’s first “Housing First” community, has received recognition through two national organizations, the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition and NAHRO (National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials).

AHTCC has awarded New Path with a 2020 Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Award. Thirteen recipients received the 2020 award that recognizes outstanding affordable housing developments and organizations that have demonstrated especially impactful use of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program.

NAHRO awarded New Path with one of its 2020 Awards of Merit, citing the community as an “ambitious development made possible through a collaboration between Idaho Housing and Finance Association and Boise City / Ada County Housing Authorities, the city and county, businesses, nonprofits and healthcare providers.”

Congratulations to New Path, the first community in Idaho dedicated to the “housing first” model that offers homes for chronically homeless people and then surrounds them with care to address the challenges that contribute to homelessness.
