Through its various housing programs, BCACHA is able to meet a broad spectrum of housing needs for low-income families, including at-risk populations, throughout Ada County, Idaho. Housing includes subsidized and non-subsidized housing opportunities.
Subsidized Housing
Public housing and voucher programs provide decent and safe affordable housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Public housing comes in all sizes and types, from scattered single family houses to high rise apartments for elderly or disabled families. These properties are owned and managed by BCACHA. BCACHA also administers voucher programs that help pay your rent and allow you to choose the neighborhood and unit you wish to live in
Supportive Housing
BCACHA’s Supportive Housing Programs provide at-risk populations with stable housing arrangements that include intensive case management and supportive services to address individual needs. At-risk populations include homeless individuals and families, people with physical, mental, or developmental disabilities, military veterans, and other target groups that need affordable housing.
Market Rate Housing
In addition to providing subsidized and supportive housing programs, BCACHA offers nearly 200 rental units ranging in size from 1 to 4 bedrooms, in Ada County. These apartments are rented to the general public and are not subsidized.
