Franklin Plaza is a five-story high-rise apartment complex with 67 homes for residents who are 62 or older or persons with disabilities.
Public housing is limited to low-income individuals. The Housing Authority determines your eligibility based on 1) annual gross income; 2) whether you qualify as elderly, a person with a disability, or as a family; and 3) U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status. The Housing Authority uses income limits developed by HUD. HUD sets the lower income at 80% and very low-income limits at 50% of the median income for the county or metropolitan area in which you choose to live.
In addition to the qualifications mentioned, you must pass the background check and screening criteria established by the Housing Authority. Applications for Capitol Plaza and Franklin Plaza are put on the waiting list by date and time of application.
The waiting list for Franklin Plaza is currently closed.
